Compound Dreams returns to a recurring building and its surrounding landscape. In these intimate paintings, a path, trees, and a simple structure become the basis for repeated observation and reinvention.
The five works presented here span 2024 to 2026. They move between oil, acrylic with oil pastel, oil with graphite, and watercolor. Their shared subject makes the differences in mark, color, and atmosphere especially visible.
One subject, several approaches
Two distinct paintings carry the title Compound Dreams (Spring), each with different materials and its own composition. Sunny Day changes the palette again, while the 2026 watercolor brings the subject into a smaller format.
